In partnership with Dove Hair, all thoughts are my own.

Transitioning from winter to spring not only causes you to refocus on your fashion for the new season but also beauty – it’s a total package.  I’m the type of person that gets bored with my hair after a while and like to play around with different lengths and styles from time to time.  Let’s not forget, I use to have pretty much all of the obvious hair colors at some point but I’ve scaled back from coloring and solely resort to chopping sh*t off – even if it’s just a little bit.

So, heading into spring was no different this year for me, I decided to go a little shorter and wanted more of a blunt cut vs my go-to layers.  While it doesn’t look like much was cut off, a decent amount was and hey – my hair always grows back super fast.. I already feel like it’s gotten longer since cutting it.

With a new season, I also like to experiment with different products, currently I’m using: Dove DermaCare Scalp Pure Daily Care Anti-Dandruff 2in1 Shampoo & Conditioner.  I decided on this particular product simply for the 2 and 1 package deal you get – more convenient and less of a process than applying both a shampoo and conditioner especially because I typically do my own hair.  I have my go-to stylist when I’m in need of a little TLC and/or cut.  Other than that, I’m my own hair stylist! So, to make it a quicker process for me is a bonus.

Depending on what my week entails, I’ll either wash my hair once a week or every week and a half.  When my hair is in need of a wash it starts to look more oily and of course dandruff becomes a little more noticeable.  Que: Dove DermaCare Scalp Pure Daily Care Anti-Dandruff 2in1 Shampoo & Conditioner. This helps to eliminate any flakes, while moisturizing the hair.  There are plenty of long days which can often lead to you putting off washing your hair so if you’re like me and this sounds like you, definitely give Dove DermaCare Scalp a try.

To answer questions I often receive about my hair care/routine:

After I wash my hair, I let it air dry a little then blow dry it out from there I straighten it and that’s pretty much it! No long and drawn out routine, I keep it fairly simple and this has been my routine for years.

I avoid putting a lot of heat on my hair, after I straighten it, I usually don’t put heat on it again until my next wash.

Outside of my shampoo, conditioner and a hair oil – that’s all I use on my hair!
