It’s the last day of the month and I honestly don’t know where the heck February went, we’re already two full months into the year and so much is going down, behind the scenes for The Daileigh.  A lot of work to be done, all exciting, but as my business continues to evolve, I continue to tweak and make changes where necessary.  Why? Because my audience asks for it.  I see a need, I talk to you all and see what you’re struggling with, what you could use some help with in the fashion department (and growing your fashion business) and I work to cater to that.  So, if you haven’t joined the crew yet // details here // where I will share exclusive resources for my members only from eBooks, style guides, styling tricks to how to’s.  You’ll definitely want to check it out and join the crew!

I love a dressy garment but sometimes the occasion doesn’t call for it, or, you don’t want to feel overdressed for your everyday.   In my books, there is always a way to cater a garment or item towards a different look or vibe.  So, that’s exactly what I did with this sequin top, I took a dressier garment and made it more wearable for the day.

Pairing with distressed boyfriend jeans and a casual styled backpack was all I needed to pull it off.

Pairing with this statement necklace and pom pom pumps doesn’t confuse my look, they help to create balance.  That’s the key when you’re coordinating your outfits and looking to style a garment or item outside of it’s “dressy” or “casual” label – creating balance.  Labels don’t exist in my opinion, instead, I’d prefer to work and remix my pieces to create the look I want.

You never know the type of mood you’ll wake up in, so, it’s best to learn how to work your wardrobe, ladies! I share a breakdown of the different types of garments and items that you can add to your look to help dress it up or dress it down in my eBook, Styling Your Wardrobe Basics.  The power lies within your wardrobe basics, and when you know how to use them to coordinate your looks, not only do you double the size of your wardrobe but you’re instantly doubling the amount of outfits you have.  Major key!

  1. You look amazing in this sequined top! Love how you manage to team it with ripped washed blue cuffed jeans and black heeled pumps. Result looks original and hot! I also made a post how to wear sequins in the streets. Here is the link: http://fashiontwin.com/sequins-trend/
    Hope you like it! :)
