Spring Wardrobe Basics
Spring is here and I’ve created another wardrobe building eBook! As exciting as it is to enter into a new season - new colors, shapes, prints to styles it’s not always a quick transition into the warmer weather.
In some places the weather may quickly transition from cold to warm but in some places (like here on the east coast), it doesn’t. If you’re stuck in that in-between stage, before adding in your spring wardrobe basics, first, focus on how to wear your winter clothes in warm weather. My eBook, Transitioning Your Wardrobe: Winter to Spring will give you creative ways to style your winter pieces differently in spring.
When you’re ready to dive into updating your spring wardrobe, I have compiled 24 different spring pieces - clothes, shoes and accessories with a combination of casual and dressy pieces so they’ll span across different occasions to events without you always having to shop for new clothes.
These spring base colors are all neutrals with two accent colors - pink and blue. You are seeing these two colors everywhere this season and they make for the perfect pop of color to your spring outfits.
Here is a glimpse into the color palette and pieces included within this eBook:
With these wardrobe basics I focus a lot on the season’s neutral colors first because it makes it easier to mix and match your clothes and create different outfits around the same pieces. Before adapting this method - I would literally shop constantly and end up with a wardrobe that didn’t make sense. If you feel you have a wardrobe filled with random pieces, this is why - you lack the basics.
With your basics not only does it make it easier for you to put together stylish outfits but it gives you a selection of pieces that you can also transition into different seasons.
The 24 pieces included in Building A Wardrobe: Spring Basics eBook are all items you can shop plus I included additional styles as well all ranging in the spring color palette. The private online shopping guide includes pieces from your everyday retailers - H&M, Nordstrom to Banana Republic with regular and plus sizing.
Moving into a new season is also the perfect time to re-organize your wardrobe, not necessarily pack away all things winter (remember, maximizing starts from within your wardrobe!).
I’ve created a free guide with tips on how to organize your clothes, shoes and accessories.
In order to be stylish you need to know where all of your pieces are so you can easily get to them and be able to quickly get dressed.
Keeping in line with your style, you can also add in chic storage pieces as well, below is a roundup of stylish storage items:
I live by my velvet (non-slip) hangers and use wooden hangers for my outerwear pieces.
