Work From Home Outfits
Having the flexibility to work from home is awesome, this also means you can get away with wearing your pajamas every day and don’t have to answer to anyone about doing so! While some days you may want to just lounge around in sweats, there are also days when you still want to feel and look good even if you’re in the house all day.
This can sometimes be a little confusing on what type of items to add into your wardrobe - you probably don’t need to have a big collection of heels, blazers to slacks but does that mean you don’t need them at all?
I think you do.
When you’re building a functional wardrobe you want a wardrobe that’ll have you covered for pretty much any and every occasion so you’re not having to spend money each time you have an event that takes you out of the office. Usually when you take the ‘shopping when you need an outfit’ approach, you end up with a bunch of random pieces in your closet to single outfits that’ll usually result in a one-time wear.
While you may not choose to wear heels while working from home, there will be other occasions that you may need to dress up and a pair of heels will come in hand. If you’re thinking a blazer is too dressy or formal for an at home outfit, there is always the option to dress it down and wear it more casually versus ruling it out altogether.
Instead of looking at adding items to your wardrobe as pieces that’ll be comfortable for you to work in, also think about how can you style your items outside of work. Or, if you’re thinking an item is too dressy or too casual for you to wear at home, think about how you can either dress it up or style in a more casual wear.
You want a wardrobe that’ll keep you stylish and outfit ready for a day at work, social activities out with your kids, date night to girls night without always having to shop for new pieces. In order to achieve a wardrobe that’ll allow you to create different outfits around the same pieces, you’ll want to invest in the basics.
Investing in your basics will give you a combination of dressy and casual garments, accessories and shoes so you can easily mix and match your clothes to create different outfits around the same pieces that you can while working from home and outside of work without needing to spend money on new outfits.
