You have a closet full of clothes with nothing to wear outside of your go to pieces, right?
Did you know one of the main reasons why you struggle to create different outfits around your clothes is because you look at your clothes as either “dressy” or “casual” pieces. Taking this approach doesn’t only waste a ton of money but it’s holding you back from being better dressed with the clothes you have.
Sweatshirts, super casual pieces, yes but that doesn’t mean you have to only wear them in a casual way. Believe it or not, you can wear a sweatshirt in and out of the office, dress them up with or without heels to wearing them casually but still feeling polished and put together.
When you’re building a wardrobe, you want to also keep in mind adding in pieces outside of your wardrobe basics and winter basics that’ll help diversify your selection, giving you a more versatile wardrobe so you’re not always having to shop for new outfits every time you need a “new” outfit. Instead of spending money, you can shop from within your wardrobe spending no money but be able to create way more outfits than before.
There are two ways you can start incorporating sweatshirts into your day-to-day style:
(1) Start with a neutral basic sweatshirt
If you prefer a more laid-back and neutral toned style, begin with styling a simple neutral sweatshirt. You can select any neutral color - white, camel, black to grey and swap out a top for a sweatshirt instead.
